We are thrilled to be hosting another weekend workshop with Jane Thornley, world famous knitwear designer and teacher from Nova Scotia. At this workshop you’ll learn to make and embellish this cozy snuggle of a wrap called the Scotian Meadow Wrap. One long basket weave-stitched rectangle undulating with seed stitch borders; it’s irregular edges gently widen as the design progresses towards the center, forming a shawl collar with an optional button closure. Any mix of yarns, including cotton, wool, silk and mohair will work although you’ll love Liz Ungar’s hand dyed yarns which we’ll be featuring. It's worked on size US13/9mm needles and uses about 400-500 yards of yarn.
This project is designated as an intermediate level only because it encourages the knitter to take a free-range approach to knitting. No need to be an expert to knit this pattern but an adventurous spirit helps!http://www.janethornley.com/blog/index.php/site/index/http://www.janethornley.com/blog/index.php/site/index/shapeimage_4_link_0
Ricki, Beth and Judy are excited to host our second Jane Thornley event.  Our first, in San Juan Capistrano, CA was hugely successful - the reviews were rave.  Read all about it.
